IBA HAMBURG

As an urban development company, IBA Hamburg is planning the Fischbeker Reethen district in close cooperation with the Harburg district office and the Ministry for Urban Development and Housing.

MINISTRY FOR URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING

The Ministry for Urban Development and Housing (Behörde für Stadtentwicklung und Wohnen) is the competent specialist authority and is responsible for, among other things, inter-agency coordination of the Fischbeker Reethen project. The Chief Building Director is co-chair of the Fischbeker Reethen steering group together with management at the Harburg district office.

HARBURG DISTRICT OFFICE

The district office of Harburg (Bezirksamt Harburg) is undertaking all the necessary planning steps (under the original technical and public authority responsibilities) for the Fischbeker Reethen project in close cooperation with IBA Hamburg GmbH and the Ministry for Urban Development and Housing. The management of the Harburg district office co-chairs the Fischbeker Reethen steering group with the Chief Building Director.

HAMBURG INVEST

Hamburg Invest Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft mbH supports companies wishing to locate to the Fischbeker Reethen commercial area, offering a comprehensive, free service ranging from location advice and a commercial property service to support for investment projects.

BEHÖRDE FÜR UMWELT, KLIMA, ENERGIE UND AGRARWIRTSCHAFT

The Ministry for the Environment, Climate, Energy and Agriculture (Behörde für Umwelt, Klima, Energie und Agrarwirtschaft) is divided into five specialist departments, which deal with the topics of ‘Water, wastewater and geology’, ‘Nature conservation, green space planning and soil conservation’, ‘Pollution control and waste management’, ‘Energy and climate’ and ‘Agriculture’. There is also the Institute for Hygiene and Environment.

LANDESBETRIEB IMMOBILIENMANAGEMENT UND GRUNDVERMÖGEN

The Landesbetrieb Immobilienmanagement und Grundvermögen, or LIG for short, is a municipal company that is attached to the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg’s fiscal office and is responsible for the development and marketing of the city’s property portfolio. In addition to strategic land management and the identification of viable land for development, LIG also manages undeveloped properties in close cooperation with external service providers.
